Quick answer: The HP DeskJet 3755 uses HP 65 ink cartridges in the US and Canada — one HP 65 Black and one HP 65 Tri-Color. The high-yield HP 65XL cartridges fit the same slots and print about two and a half times as many black pages and three times as many color pages. New boxes from HP now say HP 63/65; those fit too. (Outside North America, the same printers take HP 304.)
2026 change: In July 2026 HP merged HP 63 and HP 65 into a single HP 63/65 cartridge line, so new genuine boxes say "63/65" instead of "65". HP says the merged cartridges work in every printer that took HP 63 or HP 65, and the HP 63/65XL Black (B7RT5AN, about 300 pages) lists the DeskJet 3755. The new HP 63/65 tri-color (B7RT2AN) is rated for about 100 pages, and there is no XL tri-color in the new line. Older HP 65 and 65XL cartridges, including our remanufactured 65XL, still fit the 3755.

What Ink Cartridges Does the HP DeskJet 3755 Take?
The DeskJet 3755 belongs to HP's DeskJet 3700 All-in-One series (which also includes the 3720, 3722, 3730, 3752, 3758 and others) and holds two cartridges: one black and one tri-color (cyan, magenta and yellow in a single cartridge).

Is HP 65 the Same as HP 65XL?
They are interchangeable in the DeskJet 3755: same shape, same slot. The XL simply holds more ink. For anyone printing more than a few pages a week, 65XL costs less per page and needs changing far less often.
Does HP 63, HP 63/65 or HP 67 Fit the DeskJet 3755?
HP 67 does not. It belongs to the DeskJet 2700 / 4100 and ENVY 6000 families and won’t be recognized in the DeskJet 3755. The new HP 63/65 cartridges do fit: since July 2026 HP sells one merged line for printers that took HP 63 or HP 65. The older, pre-2026 HP 63 was made for models such as the DeskJet 1110, 2130 and 3630, and HP hasn't said it works in HP 65 printers, so buy cartridges labelled "65" or "63/65".

The 3755 is still widely used, and HP 65XL (including remanufactured versions) and the new HP 63/65 cartridges remain easy to find. Heads-up on HP Instant Ink: subscription cartridges stop working when the subscription ends. The DeskJet 3755 is not an HP+ ("e") model, so the HP+ lock to Original HP ink doesn't apply, and HP's product page for it carries no dynamic-security notice.
How Do I Replace the Ink Cartridges in the HP DeskJet 3755?
- Turn the printer on and open the cartridge access door. The carriage slides to the center.
- Wait until the carriage stops moving and the printer is quiet.
- Press down gently on the old cartridge to release it, then pull it toward you.
- Peel the plastic tape off the new cartridge. Don't touch the copper contacts or the nozzles.
- Slide the new cartridge into its slot at a slight upward angle until it clicks. Tri-Color goes on the left, Black on the right.
- Close the door. If an alignment page prints, follow the on-screen or HP Smart prompts, which usually means scanning that page.
Why Won't My DeskJet 3755 Recognize the New Cartridge?
- Tape still on the contacts. This is the most common cause.
- Dirty contacts. Wipe the copper strip on the cartridge and in the carriage with a dry, lint-free cloth.
- Wrong number. HP 67 and HP 304 won't work in a US-market printer built for HP 65. The new HP 63/65 cartridges do; for the older, pre-2026 HP 63, HP hasn't said.
- "Non-HP chip" message. On the 3755 this is an informational notice. Acknowledge it and printing continues. Our remanufactured 65XL cartridges keep the original HP chip.

Yes. HP merged HP 63 and HP 65 into one HP 63/65 line in July 2026 and says it works in every printer that took either cartridge. The HP 63/65XL Black (B7RT5AN) lists the DeskJet 3755.
The display flashes "E" and "4" but there's no paper stuck. What is it?
That is the DeskJet 3700 series paper-jam signal, with the Error and Paper Error icons blinking. HP's support document says it can be a false jam, and the same clearing steps apply either way.
Can the 3755 print on both sides automatically?
No. Two-sided printing is manual: the driver prompts you to turn the pages over and reload them.
Will it connect to my 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
No. HP lists Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n on 2.4 GHz only. It also supports Wi-Fi Direct and AirPrint, and has a USB 2.0 port (the cable isn't included).

- It is one of HP's smallest all-in-ones: 15.86 × 6.97 × 5.55 in and 5.13 lb. The trade-off is a 60-sheet input tray and a 25-sheet output tray.
- It is slow. HP rates it at 8 pages per minute black and 5.5 color (ISO), and recommends 50–200 pages a month.
- The DeskJet 3700 family is large. The 3720, 3721, 3722, 3730, 3732, 3733, 3735, 3750, 3752, 3755, 3758, 3760, 3762 and 3764 share HP's support documents, and outside the U.S. there are Ink Advantage 3775–3790 versions.
