Collection: HP 65 Ink Cartridges – 65 & 65XL

Castle Ink sells remanufactured HP 65 ink cartridges in every size HP makes: 65XL black (N9K04AN), 65XL tri-color (N9K03AN), a black and tri-color combo pack, and a 65XL black MICR cartridge for check printing. The XL cartridges replace the standard HP 65 black (N9K02AN) and tri-color (N9K01AN) in the same slot. They fit the HP DeskJet 2600, 2622, 2652, 3700, 3720, 3752 and 3755 and the Envy 5000, 5052 and 5055. Each cartridge is a remanufactured original HP shell, refilled and tested in the U.S. Orders placed by 4 PM ET ship the same business day, shipping is free over $50, and every cartridge is covered by our 1-year 100% satisfaction guarantee.

HP+ note: if your printer is enrolled in HP+ (common on models ending in “e”), it only accepts Original HP ink, and no third-party cartridge will work in it. If it is not enrolled, our cartridges work; turn off automatic firmware updates first (here's how). Printing checks? Choose the MICR black version.

HP 65 Ink: Common Questions

What is the difference between the standard and XL HP 65 cartridges?

HP 65 black prints about 120 pages and 65 tri-color about 100; 65XL black and 65XL tri-color each print about 300. They share the same cartridge body and slot, so you can move between sizes freely.

Which printers use HP 65 ink?

HP DeskJet 2600, DeskJet 2622, DeskJet 2640, DeskJet 2652, DeskJet 3700, DeskJet 3720, DeskJet 3752, DeskJet 3755, DeskJet 3772, Envy 5000, Envy 5014, Envy 5052, Envy 5055. Our Find Ink by Printer page has a guide for each model.

Will remanufactured HP 65 cartridges work in my printer?

Yes, as long as the printer is not enrolled in HP+. HP+ printers only accept Original HP ink. On printers that are not enrolled, keep automatic firmware updates off so a future update can't block third-party cartridges. If a cartridge from us still isn't recognized, contact us and we'll replace or refund it under our 1-year guarantee.

Standard or XL: which should I buy?

XL in almost every case. The XL cartridges are the same physical size and fit the same slot, but hold more ink, so each printed page costs less. Standard cartridges only make sense if you print very rarely, since ink can dry out over long idle periods.
