How Do I Replace the Toner in the DCP-7065DN?
- With the printer on, open the front cover.
- Lift out the toner cartridge and drum unit together.
- Push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
- Unpack the new cartridge, remove its protective cover and shake it gently side to side.
- Push it firmly into the drum unit until it locks.
- Clean the corona wire by sliding the green tab left and right a few times, then return it to its home position.
- Put the assembly back and close the front cover.
These are the standard steps for this type of printer. If your model's door label shows a different order, follow the label.

What DCP-7065DN owners ask
These are the questions that come up most for this printer on retailer Q&A pages, manufacturer support communities and owner reviews, answered in our words.
Can I use TN420 and TN450 interchangeably?
Yes. Brother lists the DCP-7065DN for both. The TN450 holds more than twice as much.
Is the drum separate from the toner?
Yes. The DR420 drum is a separate part rated at up to 12,000 pages, so it outlasts several toners.
Why does it still say Replace Toner after I put in a new cartridge?
Make sure the cartridge is clicked fully into the drum and the corona wire tab is back in its home position. The toner and drum report separately, so check which message you're seeing.
Does it have Wi-Fi?
No. It connects by Ethernet or USB only.
