What Ink Does the Epson WorkForce WF-7110 Use?

Quick answer: The Epson WorkForce WF-7110 uses four Epson 252 cartridges: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. The high-capacity 252XL versions fit too, and so does the extra-high-capacity 254XL black. Castle Ink stocks remanufactured 252XL Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and a 252XL 4-pack.

The WF-7110 is a wide-format, print-only model. It takes the same ink as the all-in-one WF-7710 and WF-7720 and the smaller WF-3640. In the UK and Europe the same printer (WF-7110DTW) takes Epson 27 cartridges, which won't fit a U.S. model.

Yes. On October 15, 2026, Staples listed Epson's 252XL black at $39.99 (about 3.6¢ a page), and Epson charged $34.99 for each 252XL color and $80.99 for the 254XL black. Our remanufactured 252XL black is $12.95 (about 1.2¢ a page) and each color $8.99. The 252XL 4-pack is $29.50, and a 252XL black 3-pack is $36.55.

How Do I Replace the Ink in the Epson WF-7110?

  1. Turn the printer on and press OK on the expended-ink message, or go to Menu, Maintenance, then Ink Cartridge Replacement.
  2. Lift the printer cover, then open the cartridge cover.
  3. Squeeze the tab on the old cartridge and lift it straight up.
  4. Shake the new cartridge four or five times, remove only the yellow tape without touching the green chip, and push it in until it clicks.
  5. Close both covers and press OK. Don't turn the printer off while it primes the ink.

It keeps saying the paper size doesn't match.

The size chosen in your print driver is different from the printer's tray setting. Go to Home, Setup, Paper Setup and pick the same size you use in the driver.

Can it print card stock or custom sizes?

Yes, one sheet at a time through the rear feed with a user-defined paper size. Owners say heavy stock can be temperamental.

What do errors 0xEA and 0x97 mean?
